*A minimum number of 3 players is required to enter your team. Maximum number
of players for the entry fee is 4. Teams are allowed to carry up to 5 players on
their roster. The 5th player costs an additional $5 and must be submitted
by mail with a check made payable to the Iowa Sports Foundation.

Format
Double Elimination
Officials
Certified officials will be provided for all courts.
Awards
All athletes will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Awards will be given to the first and second place teams in each
age and gender division.
Winners advance to the Summer Iowa Games 3 on 3 competition July
17.
Sportsmanship awards will be give to teams that display good sportsmanship
at the tournament. Officials will rate the players, coaches and fans.
Schedules
Schedules will be posted seven days prior to the tournament.
First Aid
Medical coverage will be on-site to administer first aid.

1. Each game consists of 15 points or 15 minutes, whichever occurs
first.
2. A standard field goal is worth 1 point; 2 points will be awarded
for baskets made from behind the 'take back' line (19'9").
3. Players may appear on only one roster. Players may be required
to present proof of identification.
4. Each team consists of three players with one or two substitute(s)
per team (a substitute is not mandatory). Maximum roster is five players.
5. Teams are encouraged to wear matching colored shirts with numbers.
Points of
Emphasis!!!
1. On or after the 5th team foul, if a player is fouled
while shooting, 1 point (2 points if behind the line) is automatically awarded
to the opposing team. If they player made the basket they will only
receive 1 point (2 points if behind the line). The team committing the foul will
then receive the ball to be checked and put in play at the top of the 2 point line.
2. On or after the 10th team foul, and all fouls committed
thereafter, 1 point (2 points if behind the line) is automatically awarded to the
opposing team whether they are in the act of shooting or not in the act of shooting. If
the player made the basket they will only receive 1 point (2 points if behind
the line). The team committing the foul will then receive the ball to be checked
and put inlay at the top of the 2 point line.
3. Officials will call fouls and violations. Any player committing
five (5) personal fouls in a game will be considered 'fouled out' and must leave
the court.
4. Each team is allowed 1 time-out per game (30 seconds in length).
The clock will stop during time-outs and can be taken any time during play.
Teams will not have a time-out during overtime periods.
5. No Dunking will be allowed.

There will be separate divisions for male and female teams.
Youth divisions are based on 2009-2010 school year.
Adult Divisions based on a minimum age standard. All competitors
in this age division must meet the minimum age requirement. (Example: each member
of a 25 & Over team must be at least 25 years of age by the tournament)

NCAA guidelines state: No more than two (2) student-athletes
from the same Division I institution may participate on the same team. There
are no restrictions on the number of student-athletes who participate from Division
II or III institutions. Check with your respective athletic director for specific
information.
TOP
1. Each individual on the team must complete the team entry form
and sign the waiver. Be sure to have a parent or guardian sign the waiver
for athletes under 18.
2. Please indicated your team name on the entry form.
3. Mail the completed entry form, waiver and the entry fee payable

4. Early Registration entries and payment must be received by Wednesday,
April 14, 2010 (postal/online). Late Registration must be received April 19,
2010 (ONLINE ONLY).
5. Each team captain will receive a confirmation letter of entry
including a detailed tournament rules and map.
6. Team captains should report to the registration tent, located
in lot 15 of the State Capitol, 30 minutes prior to their first game start time
listed on the game schedule.

Roster
Changes
Postmark deadline: Wednesday, April 21
Online Deadline: Monday, April 26
Teams may have a maximum of 5 players.
A player can appear on only one team roster.
Roster changes may be made at no additional charge and must be postmarked by April
21. Teams that originally register online may make roster changes online until April
26, please click on the Roster Addition link in the above box on the right.
New players and/or replacement players must complete the team entry form and the
waiver must be signed. For replacement players, please indicate which player they
are replacing. Roster limits will be enforced.
Waivers
Waivers should be in the Iowa Games office by 4:00 pm on April
28. Teams not returning their waivers by April 28 should bring the waivers,
signed by the parents/legal guardians, to your venue. Please allow extra time
at check-in for your waivers to be processed.
